A coordinator works with internal (DC, Home Office, Store Ops, etc.) and external (carriers, 3PLs) partners to monitor shipments and expedite the efficient movement of TJX merchandise. Creating a timely flow into our stores while working to maintain the optimal performance value. Ensuring timely service of deliveries, while upholding operational standards. Supporting and escalating any high-level challenges to their Transportation Supervisor/Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Support execution of crossdock and store deliveries, ensuring accurate shipping plans and schedules, including transportation optimization, return logistics and peak season strategiesConsistently deliver operational performance against established KPIs and budget, perform root-cause analysis as needed and create necessary action plans to manage performanceExecute against Peak Season plans/strategies to support the challenging needs of the businessSupport Transportation Manager/Supervisor in yard staffing, scheduling, and usage as well as in supporting the building with all inbound and outbound transportation responsibilitiesInteract with Field Leadership, Store Operations, Loss Prevention, and transportation providers to ensure overall execution of TJX service/standardsPlan and communicate the truck capacity requirements and ensure an adequate supply of truck power and trailers.Ensure steady flow of inbound and outbound movements, resulting in the timely arrival of merchandise to stores and maximum utilization of lowest cost carriers.Provides guidance and/or training to other peer Transportation Coordinators when applicableAudits Yard Management System for carrier/trailer accuracy. Build in-depth working knowledge of the Transportation Management Systems so that you can design, test, and implement new configuration and parameters that drive efficienciesGather and maintain TJX Transportation and Logistics master dataSupport outbound transportation projects and initiatives as assigned or directedCreate and follow Standard Operating Process (SOP) guides for Outbound activitiesPerforms other post and duties as required or directed.Provide directions for miscellaneous outbound shipments, ie. Misroutes, IFT, etc.Minimal Requirements:At least (1) year of related experience.Associate Degree preferred, not required.Excellent written and oral communication skills with all levels of Management.Solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask.Extreme attention to detail.Ability to work flexible hours.Vital knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).Must be comfortable with creating and maintaining spreadsheet formulas/data with Excel.Strong Customer Service and teamwork skills.Be on time to work.Reports To:Transportation Supervisor/Manager.Come Discover Different at TJX—we think you’ll find that it’s so much more than a job.
